Happy Friday! I am headed to Hong Kong again this weekend for my last and final visit before my funemployment ends. Here’s what’s making me happy this week…
Ending my funemployment! It has been a long few months and I had mixed feelings about my funemployment. I’m excited to start working again, and I’ll go into more details next week.
This article about career advice from Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella. Don’t be a know-it-all (we all know them), and become a learn-it-all.
Has anyone been to Lithuania? Last year, the country consumed an average of 910 glasses of beer per person and the average price of beer is $2 US, half the price of beer in the US and UK!
This memoir by Paul Kalanithi. As he was wrapping up his surgical residency and on his way to becoming a neurosurgeon, Dr. Kalanithi learned that he had a terminal lung cancer. I’m about halfway through and enjoying his thought-provoking writing. It’s heart-wrenching and I feel like there will be many tears to come. You may have heard of this book as it was written by the brother-in-law of blogger Joanna Goddard (from Cup of Jo).
Have a great weekend!
